We are pleased to invite you to the online 2021 International Usher Info Symposium.
This event is dedicated to Usher syndrome, a rare genetic disease associating sensorineural deafness, visual impairment due to retinitis pigmentosa and sometimes vestibular impairment. It will gather outstanding experts and actors (ENTs, ophthalmologists, residents, young scientists, students, patient associations) in the field of sensory disorders.
Our conference is free and open to patients and their families with a half day specially dedicated to informing patients and patient advocacy groups and will consist of :
- International Usher info Scientific Symposium (official language: English) : from Oct. 6 to 8 2021 (3 to 7pm each day Paris time)
- International Usher info Patient Symposium (official language: French) : on the Oct. 9 2021 (2 to 6pm Paris time)
Our event dedicated to Usher syndrome is organized in the framework of the research project LIGHT4DEAF funded by Investir l’Avenir and the French National Research Agency aiming to implement a major, concerted and interdisciplinary effort from scientists, ophthalmologists, ENT specialists, vestibular, neuro‐cognitive and human sciences expert in order to address unmet USH patient clinical needs.
Due to exceptional circumstances we will not be able to provide full accessibility for the Scientific Symposium.
French simultaneous transcription & French sign language will be offered for the Patient Symposium.
